/// context

Two global pharmaceutical companies operate portfolios of websites per product and audience: sites for healthcare professionals (HCP) and sites for patients (DTC). Each product may require multiple properties —per indication, per audience, per campaign— and all must meet the same regulatory and brand standard.

/// the problem

In pharma, every published claim goes through medical, legal and regulatory review (MLR): approved content must be published exactly as approved, with references and safety balance.

Add to that WCAG accessibility as a compliance requirement, visual consistency across dozens of properties of the same house, and a constant delivery rhythm: product launches, indication updates and campaigns with regulatory dates.

/// the solution

Standardized UI development per portfolio

Shared components and patterns across sites of the same pharmaceutical house, with controlled variations per product brand. A new site starts from a proven base; the effort concentrates on content and the brand's visual layer.

Compliance as part of the workflow

Development respects MLR-approved content: reference structure, safety information (ISI) always visible per guidelines, and traceable change control between what was approved and what was published.

Verified WCAG accessibility

WCAG and WAI-ARIA standards applied and verified on every delivery, as an exit requirement rather than a later audit.

Distributed team with code review

Delivery coordinated with teams across three continents, with code review and mentoring to sustain quality across dozens of parallel deliveries.

/// results
  • More than 50 product sites delivered and in operation for two global pharmaceutical companies.
  • Consistent deliveries in regulatory compliance and accessibility across the whole portfolio.
  • Component standardization reduced the ramp-up time of every new site in the portfolio.
