/// context

A Mexican medical education platform offers physicians and healthcare professionals two things: training —courses and diploma programs with progress tracking— and clinical practice tools. It registers more than 161,000 users.

/// the problem

The platform has a dual nature. As a training system, it needs to manage a course catalog, enrollments, progress and certificates. As a clinical tool, it needs to be useful in daily practice: physicians register patients, issue and share prescriptions, read medical articles and consult the drug reference —descriptions, indications, contraindications and interactions—.

Both functions coexist in one product, for a user with little time and low tolerance for friction.

/// the solution

Training with full tracking

The education module covers catalog, enrollment, content consumption, assessments, per-course progress and certificate issuance for courses and diploma programs. The physician picks up where they left off; academic operations manage cycles, cohorts and accreditations from the platform.

Records and prescriptions in the consultation flow

Physicians register patients in a lightweight record, issue digital prescriptions and share them directly with the patient. The design prioritizes consultation time: few steps, pre-filled fields, accessible history.

Structured drug reference

A drug reference searchable by name and active substance: description, indications, contraindications and interactions. Structured as data, not documents, to answer in seconds during a consultation.

Peer editorial content

Medical article publishing with its own editorial workflow keeps the platform a recurring point of professional update beyond training cycles.

/// results
  • More than 161,000 healthcare professionals registered.
  • Courses and diploma programs running in continuous cycles with platform-issued certificates.
  • The drug reference and digital prescriptions sustain recurring use beyond training cycles.
